Paris Hilton Inspired Designers To Indian Fashion Week In Delhi

Paris Hilton and her lifestyle inspired designers to Indian fashion week in Delhi - as the epitome of a 21st century dandy.

and other celebrities, socialites on Saturday with an evening wear collection which has sought to capture the "haughty self-shows" among the elite.

Models took a stroll down the red carpet, pouting and blowing kisses as they posed for photographers at the edge of the runway. A model clutched a crystal ball, another half-filled glass of wine while a third cradled a doll.

The Dandy Features collection of dresses of silk and lycra in shades of black and purple with poppy prints and sequins.

and people like that." Jaikaria said after the show.

"Essentially, there are many in the news because of the way they are, their character, their personality."

In June 2007, Los Angeles Hilton was running afoul of law enforcement and served three weeks in jail stemming from a drunk driving incident.

, 27, has unveiled an MTV reality show in Hollywood Hills, on Thursday - to choose a "best friend forever" among the 20 men and women vying for the honor.

But Indian designers said they were just having a little fun at his own expense

and not condemning celebrity socialites.

"They are here to celebrate dress. They want to enjoy life and we just want to enjoy with them as well," says Bairoliya.

Almost 80 designers presented collections fall and winter on the runway or in the stands on Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, which ended on Sunday

Designer JJ Valaya introduced a new "currency" in his collection regal robes with red velvet robes and wearing grounds pieces stamped by the "Kingdom of Valaya.

Bollywood also made its presence felt with actors Zayed Khan and Soha Ali Khan walking the ramp for designer Manav Gangwani while cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa took a spin on the runway for Raghavendra Rathore of the show on Saturday evening.
